Interim Property Operations Manager

Position Overview:

The Interim Property Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of a specific property during transitional periods. This position is essential for maintaining operational continuity and ensuring high standards of service and management are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage property operations in the absence of the regular Property Manager.
  2. Adhere to established operational protocols and daily management routines.
  3. Develop proficiency in property management software and systems.
  4. Assist in the recruitment and training of property management staff.
  5. Drive local marketing initiatives and enhance sales performance under the guidance of senior management.
  6. Ensure exceptional guest experiences and address any service issues promptly.
  7. Identify and manage maintenance and safety concerns effectively.
  8. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report any violations immediately.
  9. Conduct competitive market analysis as directed.
  10. Support financial objectives through effective budget management and cost control.
  11. Travel frequently to various properties within the designated market, including overnight stays as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication with guests and staff.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial reports and operational data.
  • General computer skills and familiarity with property management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of front office operations and guest service standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years in a management role, preferably in the hospitality sector.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and travel extensively within the assigned market area.
