Client Relationship SpecialistSummary
The Client Relationship Specialist plays a vital role in supporting banking clients and addressing their inquiries.
This position involves executing client account servicing tasks as directed by team members within specified timeframes, which includes assisting clients with banking and loan inquiries, maintaining client databases, updating client information and status reports, investigating client issues, and managing workflow for the Banking Services Team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborates with the Client Support Services Team (CSST) to manage daily client transaction activities and processing; ensures systems information is current; executes client servicing events while communicating effectively with clients and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Works with the CSST on deposit-related transaction processing, including account openings, exception handling, and overdrafts.
- Develops and implements suitable action plans for client servicing and coordinates with team members across various disciplines to ensure effective execution and follow-up.
- Records services rendered, specialized procedures, and ongoing written communications with clients as necessary in managing daily operations.
- Cultivates a clear understanding of client needs behind service requests and communicates these to service partners. Gathers relevant information from partners and clients to facilitate service modifications or transactions.
- Primarily focuses on assisting deposit relationship clients with their banking requirements.
- Identifies opportunities for service efficiency improvements, process enhancements, and service delivery through innovative and proactive measures.
- Regularly communicates with clients to update them on account setups or statuses, overdue loans, document requests, or other pertinent information.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of the documentation necessary for monitoring client relationships.
- Is knowledgeable about compliance requirements for new accounts and relationships and reviews compliance reports to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains proficiency in various business applications critical to relationship management, including client online tools.
- Possesses a solid understanding of the core responsibilities of the position, working towards achieving proficiency in all required areas.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience, or equivalent, in financial services or accounting fields with a background in client servicing.
- Familiarity with banking products and services is essential.
- Understanding of internal banking operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
