Position Summary:

The Test Engineering Specialist is well-versed in industry testing standards and environmental as well as electromagnetic interference methodologies. This role involves conducting tests, gathering data, and effectively communicating findings to the engineering team and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee external laboratory testing procedures.
  • Design and implement testing methods in compliance with military and commercial standards.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of testing equipment in line with company protocols.
  • Organize and compile data for presentation to clients and management.
  • Assist in the development of cable test harnesses and related support equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to diagnose and rectify production issues.
  • Conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) on surplus production items.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology (ASEE) or Mechanical Engineering (ASME) preferred.
  • 0 - 4 years of relevant experience in a testing environment.
  • Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Military and Commercial standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461/810 or RTCA/DO-160G).

Language Proficiency:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-driven with a keen interest in learning and development.
  • Able to take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Additional Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with general-purpose testing equipment and automated systems.
  • Working knowledge of wiring and basic hand tools.
