Position Summary:

The PCB Layout Designer will collaborate with engineers to create intricate and detailed layouts for printed circuit boards. This role involves generating multilayer, high-density PCB designs utilizing advanced PCB Layout Tools, guided by Electrical and Mechanical Engineering specifications. The designer will also prepare fabrication drawing packages in accordance with IPC and/or Mil specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed layout design and documentation for printed circuit boards.
  • Generate two-dimensional (2D) CAD outputs for fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Interpret schematics, net lists, part lists, and basic descriptions of board functions, constraints, configurations, and arrangements as defined by engineering.
  • Verify drawings against project inputs for accuracy and adherence to standard engineering drafting practices.
  • Create electronic library symbols, geometries, footprints, and other necessary components.
  • Manage system files, including maintenance, backup, and storage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or a minimum of five years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in Signal Integrity analysis is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using Allegro software is preferred.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with all internal and external stakeholders.
