Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Truist Financial. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our brokers, underwriters, and team leaders regarding all policies and key accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote new business and renewal business to achieve production and market criteria with minimal supervision.
  • Negotiate terms with underwriters, including price, deductible, enhancement, and exclusions.
  • Select carriers to approach with accounts.
  • Assist and/or provide quotations for new business, renewals, and endorsements through managing all company correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Prepare recommendations for agents showing fact information regarding best coverage information.
  • Process new business, including transference applications to CRC applications, issue binders and invoices, and check policy coverages for accuracy by CRC guidelines.
  • Process renewal business, which may include locating files, preparing and mailing solicitor letters and/or preliminary submission information, issuing binders and invoices, and checking policy coverages for accuracy by CRC guidelines.
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of wholesale insurance experience or its equivalent.
  • Experience with specific account handling and marketing.
  • Current state-specific insurance license.
  • Substantial knowledge of insurance and insurance processes.
  • Ability to review information, make decisions, and manage time effectively with minimal to no supervision.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Benefits

As a regular teammate working 20 hours or more per week, you will be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and tax-preferred savings accounts. You will also be eligible to contribute to a 401(k) savings plan and receive company matching contributions after one year of service and attainment of age 21.

You will also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during your first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.

Eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in a deferred compensation plan and/or have an ownership interest in TIH in the form of profits interest or capital interest.
