Job Summary:
We are seeking a Jr. Underwriter to join our team at Sonoran National Insurance Group, a Higginbotham partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal risks in our program division, providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite all submitted business in accordance with carrier and agency standards.
- Review, rate, and issue proposals for Professional Liability New and Renewal Applications.
- Maintain accurate underwriting policy files.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Process policy changes.
- Assist Senior Underwriter and backup colleagues.
- Maintain client activity in agency management systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of insurance experience required.
- P&C license preferred.
- Commitment to continuing learning.
Physical Requirements:
- Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens.
- Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person.
- Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key.
- Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires a professional work ethic and ability to manage and prioritize workload.
