Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and Develop Relationships: Foster strong relationships with global, national, and local news publishers to drive business growth and innovation.
- Lead Product Innovations: Collaborate with media outlets to develop a working group that will partner with DV on product innovations to support news media monetization.
- Policy Development: Drive the team's strategic planning and effective execution of all news-related initiatives, including PR and thought leadership, to ensure DoubleVerify's approach to classification is supportive of news media.
- Policy Positions: Guide and oversee policy positions for news content classification, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain strong working relationships with product management and operations teams to ensure policies are implemented across features, and work closely with cross-functional partners to understand and research public opinions and advertiser perspectives.
Requirements:
- 9+ years of work experience in news media advertising and journalism.
- Strong existing relationships with news media publishers.
- Invested in and passionate about ensuring news content is effectively monetized.
- Interest in policy and content classification/moderation.
- Experience working in or with public policy, product policy, content policy, or brand safety and suitability roles.
- Experience in or working with the technology industry.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with web and social media content trends.
- Passion for building partnerships.
- Experience working cross-functionally to achieve business results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with national and international policy proposals or frameworks for addressing harmful content online.
- Familiarity with internet policy issues.
- Familiarity with content moderation or classification.
- Masters in Journalism, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, or MBA.
