Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and other staff members.
  • Reviews and implements nursing protocols and operational systems.
  • Evaluates and assesses the systems that support the delivery of high-quality resident care and staff performance.
  • Employs a systematic approach in the nursing process to deliver personalized nursing care.
  • Contributes to resident assessments (MDS/CAAs) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
  • Monitors resident responses to nursing interventions.
  • Understands the rationale for medication and treatment use, administering them correctly as required.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
  • Current state nursing licensure is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is advantageous.
