Culinary Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily functions within the kitchen, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:
Preferred experience in a full-service hospitality environment or a related sector.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in kitchen maintenance, operations, or a similar role, including at least one year in a supervisory position.
Must comply with certification requirements relevant to the position, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
Demonstrates knowledge of all Marriott Spring policies and hospitality terminology.
Possesses or is able to obtain Food Manager Certification as required by state regulations.
Job Duties:
Engages with guests and team members in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
Oversees and evaluates cost management, quality assurance, and support provided to various outlets, banquets, and other areas concerning china, glassware, and silverware.
Monitors the condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and all kitchen areas.
Ensures adherence to cooking procedures, safety protocols, kitchen inventory management, and budgetary guidelines.
Participates in the formulation of the annual stewarding operating budget, aligning with the overall goals of the Food & Beverage Department.
Educates team members on current safety regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Reports any hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to the safety of guests, employees, or hotel property to management.
Determines optimal stock levels and manages the inventory of all materials and equipment.
Leads, supervises, and evaluates the Stewarding department, conducting performance assessments.
Ensures all kitchen staff effectively fulfill their job responsibilities.
Maintains the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness across all facilities and equipment.
Ensures proper handling and storage of all chemicals.
Attends necessary meetings.
Assists with additional tasks as required, which may include providing support with food preparation, completing setup sheets, etc.
