Position Overview:
The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily functions within the kitchen, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a full-service hospitality environment or a related sector is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of one year in kitchen maintenance, operations, or a similar role, including supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with food and beverage service operations is advantageous.
- Must comply with certification requirements relevant to the position, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Should demonstrate knowledge of Aimbridge Hospitality policies and hospitality terminology.
- Possession or ability to obtain Food Manager Certification as per state regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests and team members in a welcoming, service-oriented manner.
- Manage and evaluate costs, breakage, and quality of service for all dining areas, assisting the Executive Chef in maintaining culinary supplies.
- Oversee the condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
- Ensure adherence to cooking procedures, safety protocols, kitchen inventory management, and budgetary constraints.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual kitchen operating budget aligned with the Food & Beverage Department's objectives.
- Educate team members on current safety regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Report any hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats affecting guests, staff, or hotel property to management.
- Establish minimum and maximum stock levels, managing par stocks for all materials and equipment.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the Stewarding department staff.
- Ensure all kitchen personnel effectively fulfill their job responsibilities.
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout all facilities and equipment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all chemicals.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Assist with additional tasks as necessary, which may include food preparation and set-up duties.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments.
