Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook 2 to join our culinary team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items to meet the expectations of our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Independently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and to the company specifications.
  • Inspect all food products for quality and ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of the walk-in and when returning food to the walk-in.
  • Safely and properly use all culinary equipment.
  • Keep the walk-in, prep area, and equipment up to Health Department and EcoSure standards at all times.
  • Attend department meetings and other company-required trainings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Ability to work efficiently without needing immediate supervision from management.
  • Familiarity with weights and measures to follow and multiply standard recipes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Culinary degree and/or formal training preferred.
  • Texas Food Handlers certification required.
