Assistant Store Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Assistant Store Supervisor collaborates closely with the Store Manager to ensure all operational aspects of the retail establishment are effectively managed. This role is pivotal in learning the intricacies of overseeing daily functions and staff management while facilitating promotional activities supported by Howell Machine Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieves operational goals by scheduling and delegating tasks to employees, while monitoring work outcomes.
  • Enhances store personnel by recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Understands customer needs by building relationships with both potential and existing clients.
  • Adjusts marketing strategies based on analysis of financial reports and sales data.
  • Stays informed on industry trends and best practices through educational opportunities and professional networking.
  • Supports team objectives by delivering results in alignment with company goals.

Additional Duties:

  • Oversees and coordinates all promotional events and activities for Howell Machine Inc.
  • Performs other tasks as directed by the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in retail management is preferred. Familiarity with the machinery industry and customer requirements is advantageous.
  • Education: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential. A degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Responsibilities: Oversee all retail operations and staff management, including special events and promotions.
  • Complexity: Requires quick decision-making abilities and excellent customer service skills, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Supervision: Works under the direct supervision of the Store Manager.
  • Physical Demands: The role involves various physical activities including lifting, standing, and coordination tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
  • Confidentiality: Access to sensitive information is on a need-to-know basis to perform job responsibilities effectively.
