We are seeking a seasoned Retail Area Manager to coordinate and oversee the operations of multiple retail locations. You will be accountable for the overall success of these stores by establishing targets, supervising store managers, and ensuring those targets are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities. Strong skills in financial and operational planning are also crucial for this position.
The primary objective is to ensure our stores not only meet but exceed expectations in terms of business growth and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing multiple retail locations.
  • Background in luxury or high-end retail environments.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities and implementing strategies for business development.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and committed to continuous improvement with a team-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Salesforce is preferred.
  • A passionate Brand Ambassador and business leader who embodies the Brand's philosophy and values to the local market, team, and clientele.
  • A highly motivated business leader who takes personal responsibility for achieving successful overall store performance, development, and growth, while maximizing sales through meticulous management of operating expenses, payroll, inventory, etc.
  • Ensure excellence in client experience by leading by example, prioritizing the client above all, and delivering top-notch service.
  • Team leadership: inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to foster success, create a positive work environment, and build trusting relationships.
  • Encourage collaboration and synergy between operations, visual merchandising, and effective communication to convey unified messages, identify successes/opportunities, and develop solutions for business growth.
  • Manage costs with vendors, payroll, and store supplies to optimize revenue.
  • Oversee store scheduling, including management of paid time off (vacation, personal, and sick leave).
  • Maintain effective communication with headquarters to ensure all deadlines are met and requests are fulfilled.

BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

  • Monitor store performance and implement tailored actions to maximize sales and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Set clear objectives (monthly/yearly/daily), ensure follow-ups, and propose corrective measures as needed.
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings via Microsoft Teams to discuss strategies and action plans, focusing on sharing successes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Perform routine store visits as necessary, especially during visits from key clients.
  • Manage all processes related to product delivery, stockroom management, product handling, and inventory control, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Maintain an impeccable store image, both inside and out, intervening when necessary.
  • Facilitate a consistent and effective flow of information between stores and other functions (Retail Merchandising and Visual Merchandising) to promptly meet market needs.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to achieve sales targets and implement agreed-upon strategies.
  • Collect strategic product information from Retail Merchandising and Visual Merchandising and communicate it to geographic areas and headquarters.
  • Stay informed about local market trends, competitors, events, and client needs; engage in social activities and serve as a role model for Store Managers in developing external relationships.
  • Ensure alignment and enforcement of store operations and procedures, including stock management, loss prevention, IT, cash processes, and maintenance.
  • Deliver operational excellence across all stores in accordance with Company standards.

MARKETING STRATEGY

  • Implement a competitive marketing strategy, ensuring follow-through and delivery.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with mall management and marketing teams to ensure participation and partnerships.
  • Communicate local and corporate policies to stores, leading by example.
  • Build relationships with hotels, event coordinators, magazines, marketing firms, musicians, and vendors to secure the best services and rates while staying informed about local events.
  • Create in-store or off-site events to enhance brand awareness and encourage client participation and revenue growth.
  • Foster relationships with store and regional managers from other brands to compare business strategies, foot traffic, and visual presentations.
  • Oversee the retail event calendar for the market, collaborating for timely event activities and proposing opportunities to attract new clients.
  • Ensure successful implementation of events and promotional activities to expand the customer base and drive sales.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee the client portfolio across all stores, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to build loyalty and increase customer spending.
  • Actively monitor client growth performance and collaborate with each Store Manager to define actions to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Work closely with Store Managers to develop the client database for sustained growth.
  • Guarantee the execution of the selling ceremony to provide a unique customer experience aligned with the Brand's DNA.
  • Maintain updated customer mapping of the database for each store, ensuring alignment with Company standards for personalized loyalty initiatives.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Collaborate with Human Resources to support store operations and share professional growth opportunities.
  • Lead the stores, motivating and coaching the management team while fostering talent development in a positive atmosphere.
  • Work with Human Resources to define staffing needs for stores, reviewing organizational structures and headcount requirements to enhance performance.
  • Facilitate ongoing dialogue between the Company, Store Managers, and staff through regular meetings.
  • Develop and mentor Store Managers, supporting them in becoming effective brand ambassadors and top performers in the market.
  • Manage store personnel and establish recruitment, training, development, and retention plans for sales staff.
  • Aim to recruit top talent and build the best store management representation in the luxury goods sector.
  • Ensure compliance with grooming standards set by Headquarters.
  • Oversee the Performance Management process, from objective assignment and assessment to competency analysis and development in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Identify staff issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure current and future profitability through regular performance reviews on competencies and results.
