Job Summary

The Electronics Specialist will be responsible for identifying and analyzing defects in electronic components and systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
  • Support or drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of electronic components and systems to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and research and development teams to design and implement new equipment and processes.
  • Develop and maintain records and reports to track quality metrics and performance.
  • Collaborate with employees on the shop floor to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop and maintain a trained workforce.
  • Identify and tag all non-conforming items discovered.
  • Assist in quality training and provide performance feedback to production personnel.
  • Conduct employee, work center, and piece check audits as required.
  • Initiate Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) determinations.
  • Report safety near misses and incidents whenever applicable.
Requirements

Technician II: Vocational training and 3+ years of experience in a relevant work environment; or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment.

Technician III: Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment; or High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in a relevant work environment.

  • Ability to develop and maintain records and follow projects through to conclusion.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of manufacturing engineering and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and the Windows operating system.
  • Ability to use measurement and inspection tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Pins, Gauges, Protractor, and Scale.
  • Ability to use a digital multimeter (DMM) to make electrical measurements.
  • Skills in equipment and/or electronics troubleshooting are desirable.
  • Capable of frequent standing and walking and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (although very rare).
