Position Summary

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for the financial management of Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School and Community Capital Corporation. This role offers strategic leadership in developing and implementing internal finance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans
  • Align financial strategies with the organization's long-term goals, ensuring sustainability and growth
  • Monitor and adapt to the funding environment, particularly public funding sources in D.C.
  • Cultivate relationships with regulators and maintain compliance with financial regulations
  • Oversee the accounting team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and robust financial controls
  • Lead annual budgeting process in collaboration with the leadership team and board
  • Review contracts for compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and for risk minimization
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including audits, 990 filings, and other key reports
