About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting to join our dynamic team at Lafayette Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit union's finance, accounting, and financial operations, leading financial strategy and complex financial data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the credit union's finance, accounting, and financial operations, leading financial strategy and complex financial data analysis.
  • Manage the financial reporting functions, including regular monthly financial packages, ALM report packages, and ad hoc finance-related projects assigned by the CFO and President/CEO.
  • Manage the ACH, share drafts, IRAs, and Check 21 functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain all analyses regarding Asset Liability Management (ALM), including monitoring the concentration of the portfolio, credit risk analysis, interest rate risk analysis, liquidity rate risk analysis, price risk analysis, and other areas to ensure the safety and soundness of operations.
  • Work closely with the CFO in developing, implementing, and monitoring the credit union's operational budget and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of NCUA requirements, work with external auditors and regulators, and provide support to audits and examinations.
Requirements
  • Eight to ten years of progressive similar or related experience.
  • A master's degree, or a bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g., CPA).
