Position Overview

A reputable commercial real estate firm is seeking a Senior Property Accounting Specialist to enhance their finance department. This role involves critical functions such as account reconciliation, general ledger management, year-end financial closing, and producing analytical reports. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience, proficiency in Yardi software, and outstanding communication abilities. Experience in the commercial real estate sector is highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting general ledger and account reconciliation along with detailed analysis.
  • Utilizing existing accounting systems in compliance with established procedures while contributing to their ongoing enhancement.
  • Supporting the preparation for year-end financial closing, lender reporting, and various special projects as required.
  • Maintaining diverse accounting schedules, including prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions, and liabilities.
  • Facilitating wire transfers and assisting in the establishment of bank accounts.
  • Setting up new entities and tenants as necessary.
  • Managing accounts receivable and property tax processes.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business environment.
  • Yardi experience is essential.
  • Experience in the construction or commercial real estate industry is preferred.
