About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Services Manager to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As an Event Services Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions at our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Operations
    • Ensure that all event spaces are set up and ready for events, including tables, chairs, dance floors, podiums, and other necessary equipment.
    • Coordinate with event planners and vendors to ensure that all event details are met.
    • Conduct regular inspections of event spaces to ensure that they meet our high standards.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and train a team of event coordinators and staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional service to our guests.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our team is equipped to handle any event scenario.
    • Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, including responding to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Empower our team to provide excellent customer service and ensure that they have the necessary tools and resources to do so.
  • Human Resources
    • Set service goals for event service supervisors and employees to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
    • Ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities and are equipped to perform their duties.
    • Attend and participate in all pertinent meetings and lead shifts as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a team of employees.
