We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team at Professional Service Bureau, Inc. as a telehealth professional. This role will be responsible for coordinating patient and insurance billings for our medical facility.
Key Responsibilities- Contacts patients regarding outstanding balances and establishes payment plans to help manage payment of bills.
- Sends delinquent accounts to collection agencies and trains personnel on computerized billing systems.
- Responds to patient billing and statement inquiries and makes recommendations to management for write-offs.
- Coordinates with management to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
- Prior healthcare customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The work environment is a telehealth setting, and the noise level is usually moderate. The employee must be able to sit for long periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
