Job Title: Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology

HealthPartners is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patient health status, including obtaining a complete health history, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, including nutrition, exercise, and traditional medical therapies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in peer review and quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Current Minnesota PA license.
  • NCCPA or AANP certification.
  • Approved or eligible for approval by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in GI, Med-Surgical, or SICU.
Physical Requirements:
  • No lifting requirements are identified, but the potential for lifting exists.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, and tactile motor skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
