The Assembly Specialist works independently to carry out assigned assembly processes for the production of high-quality products, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Effective communication with various levels of the Value Stream, visual and dimensional inspection, and operation of equipment are integral parts of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned assembly tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Prepare components before assembly to ensure seamless integration
  • Test finished assemblies to ensure quality and reliability
  • Operate equipment and machinery with efficiency and safety
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Problem solve quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Create work orders and reports to track progress and efficiency
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to company policies
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss improvement initiatives
  • Complete job-related training to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Support company initiatives to drive growth and innovation
  • Work overtime if required to meet production demands
  • Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Repair defective assemblies to minimize downtime and waste

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of Assembly experience with a proven track record of success
  • Knowledge of raw materials and production processes to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members
  • Accurate color vision and manipulation skills to perform assembly tasks with precision
  • High School diploma or equivalent with a focus on mathematics and science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Experience in maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • IPC solder rework certification to demonstrate expertise in assembly techniques
  • Designated Inspection certification to ensure quality and reliability
