Position Summary:
This is a year-round opportunity with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. The role involves applying knowledge of electronic theory, design, and engineering principles to product development and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in transitioning products from engineering to production.
- Conduct parts research and prepare procedures for new designs.
- Perform schematic entry and prototype testing.
- Collect and analyze engineering test data towards specific objectives.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Support the development of test plans and procedures for products in development.
- Maintain presence at the assigned worksite during scheduled hours.
Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibility:
None.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information in accordance with government standards.
- Effective interaction with peers and supervisors.
- Appropriate interaction with the public when required.
- Adherence to workplace regulations.
- Capability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Dexterity to work with small components.
Education and Experience:
Current enrollment in a relevant bachelor's degree program is required. Basic proficiency with MS Office is also necessary.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
The role involves a mix of production and office environments, requiring the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 30 pounds.
