It features high-quality fitness programming, personalized training services, collaborative workspaces, a spacious member lounge, gourmet food options, and a vibrant calendar of social and cultural events tailored to our community's interests.

This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of the founding team at our newest location in Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and take initiative in all interactions.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Chelsea Piers Fitness products and brand.
  • Oversee visitor access and uphold security protocols.
  • Welcome, assist, and guide all guests and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Support various projects as needed, including sales, personal training, group fitness, marketing, events, and children’s activities.
  • Act as a proactive goodwill ambassador for prospective members.
  • Resolve member concerns effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service or a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree or higher is preferred.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Community-oriented and passionate about health and fitness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proactive in problem-solving.
  • Experience in childcare is a plus.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Uniform Requirements:
  • All employees are required to wear the Chelsea Piers Fitness uniform and nametag at all times while on duty, adhering to the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.
Work Schedule:
  • Available for full-time or part-time positions, with a minimum of 12 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to the Hospitality Manager and General Manager.
  • Collaborates with all in-club team members.
