Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As an Office Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office processes, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of all necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, insurance information, and billing details.
• Coordinate scheduling with physicians and staff to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls.
• Gather, verify, and process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications, working closely with physicians, patients, and payers.
• Manage the flow of interdepartmental, outgoing, and incoming mail, ensuring timely and secure delivery of sensitive information.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff, providing clear and concise information regarding patient care and billing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
