Job Summary

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with surgeons, and contributing to the development of treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status, develop diagnoses, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed.
  • Diagnose medical and surgical problems, prescribe necessary treatment and services, and implement appropriate management based on laboratory results and physical assessments.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care and outcomes.
  • Dictate and document patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary rounds, participate in quality initiatives, and support IRB-approved clinical research/trials.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance and comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner: MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing, APRN license in the state of Florida, national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board, and current BLS certification.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited physician assistant program, maintain current physician assistant licensure in State of Florida, and maintain current BLS/healthcare certification.
