Responsibilities- Manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs, providing high-quality care with minimal physician supervision.
- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status, developing diagnoses and treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including surgical interventions and prescribing necessary treatment and services.
- Implement evidence-based medicine, identifying and resolving patient care issues to improve outcomes.
- Participate in quality initiatives, supporting IRB-approved clinical research and trials.
- Act as an advanced resource for the specialty area, performing minor bedside procedures and maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Nurse Practitioner: APRN license in the state of Florida, national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board, and current BLS certification.
- Physician Assistant: Maintain current physician assistant licensure in the State of Florida and current BLS/healthcare certification.
Orlando Health is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer program consisting of six treatment sites and more than 10 practice locations. We specialize in over 200 types of cancer, providing personalized care with state-of-the-art technologies and supporting physician involvement in research studies and clinical trials.
