Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Passive Safety Development Engineer to join our Advanced Safety Controls Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and integration of safety control systems software into our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage vehicle development projects related to Passive Safety and Restraint Systems control specifications.
  • Review and develop functional requirements for electronic controls systems specifications.
  • Validate Passive Safety and Restraint Systems software functions through testing and verification.
  • Work with suppliers to integrate software functions into vehicles and verify their functionality.
  • Negotiate requirements with collaborating controls teams and coordinate with design functions to ensure correct control specifications are applied.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Co-op/intern experience preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical components, EMC testing, and requirements management.
  • Familiarity with control specification development, CAN structures, and functional safety standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and hands-on mechanical ability.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and ISO 26262 standard for functional safety.
