Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of R&D projects using applied scientific and engineering principles in the area of advanced engineering and manufacturing technologies with both internal and external partners.
  • Propose new research activities and lead teams of cross-functional direct and/or indirect researchers in the execution of research activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external research partners to leverage outside expertise and capabilities.
  • As a Subject Matter Expert, foster the development of new research areas, proposing and leading all aspects of new activities independently.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. with 3 years or B.S./M.S. with 6 years of experience or relevant experience in science/engineering research capacity.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Other Job-Specific Skills.
  • Passion for research, solving hard problems, and challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to learn new topics and apply principles to design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams.
