About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Product Marketing to join our team at BigCommerce. As a key member of our marketing organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product marketing strategy for our SaaS ecommerce platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute product positioning and messaging strategies to drive awareness, retention, and adoption of our platform.
  • Lead and inspire a small team of product marketers to achieve marketing goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless alignment and cohesive strategies.
  • Monitor product performance throughout its lifecycle and identify growth opportunities to maximize product success.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the platform, including speaking engagements and content creation to support the buyer's journey.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully launching SaaS products, with a strong ability to drive and coordinate efforts across teams.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple customer stories.
  • Deep experience creating messaging and engaging content that translates product scenarios aligned to customer needs.
  • Strong ROI-tracking skills, including the ability to prove what is – or isn't – working with product programs.
  • Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and break them down into well-scoped solutions.
  • Willingness to flex between strategic and tactical/execution responsibilities.
  • High energy, drive-for-results, and big picture thinker that inspires teams.
