REPORTS TO: Director of Civil Engineering

TEAM: Civil Engineering

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...

We are in search of a Senior Federal Civil Engineering Project Leader with substantial expertise in overseeing design-bid and design-bid-build projects for federal clients. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various regulations and standards, including UFCs, USACE District Standards, Federal Department Regulations, and multi-state and local regulations. Familiarity with military branch standards, base-specific design criteria, ABA/ADA compliance, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection, Low Impact Development, Charrette processes, and proficiency in writing Design Analyses, Design Narratives, and Proposals is essential. The candidate should be open to travel for site assessments and participate in significant meetings while planning design concepts during visits to other locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE...

As a vital member of the Civil Team, your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing design-bid and design-bid-build projects for federal clients, ensuring compliance with project scope, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Navigating complex regulatory frameworks and standards, including UFCs, USACE District Standards, and Federal Department Regulations.
  • Ensuring adherence to ABA/ADA compliance, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection, and Low Impact Development standards.
  • Facilitating Charrette processes and managing SpecIntact specification documentation.
  • Composing Design Analyses, Design Narratives, and Proposals as required.
  • Traveling for site assessments and representing the organization in significant meetings.
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary, multi-firm team to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in civil engineering project management for federal clients.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and meet project deadlines.
