Job Summary

Zero dB Communications LLC is seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Optic Technician, you will be responsible for splicing and testing fiber optic cables, reading and creating schematics and diagrams, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Splice and test fiber optic cables to ensure high-quality connections
  • Read and create schematics and diagrams to support project timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of splicing and field notes
  • Support project timelines and inspect staking sheets for accuracy

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company's minimum safety standard
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications
  • In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products, and networking
  • Experience in Project Management a plus
  • ER Troubleshooting experience
  • Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility
  • Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work
Schedule
  • Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shift, Monday - Friday
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and additional hours as needed
  • Travel will be required and may be up to 10% depending on business needs

Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment screen, to include a drug test and an acceptable driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Salary

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience
