We are seeking an experienced Retail Director to lead our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As a strategic merchandising manager, you will develop and implement retail plans across multiple outlets.

Job Description

  • Liaise with unit and client management to develop site-specific retail plans.
  • Manage merchandise planning, buying, and inventory against sales trends.
  • Oversee game-day operations, manage profit & loss, monitor financial performance, and prepare reports.
  • Provide leadership and direction to all retail locations, ensuring maximum visual impact and revenue generation.
  • Work with retail managers and supervisors to develop customer and employee promotions.
  • Develop detailed plans to increase revenues by introducing new product lines and sourcing vendors.
  • Identify market trends and incorporate them into product selection.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of retail team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in retail management, with at least 3-5 years of retail/store operations and merchandising techniques.
  • Experience buying licensed product preferred.
  • Specialty retail sales operations experience, preferably sports-related.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Direct financial accountability for revenues over $10 million, including P&L, inventory, and merchandising planning.
  • Extensive retail marketing and brand management experience.
  • Cross-functional work experience with multiple departments.
  • Proficient in Word & Excel, with knowledge of Point of Sales systems preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds and frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
