Assistant Vice President, Securities Operations

The Securities and Derivatives Senior Analyst is a pivotal role responsible for managing orders and transactions that arise from trading desks and branch offices, in collaboration with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The primary aim of this position is to ensure the efficient clearance, settlement, and examination of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Address intricate process challenges that necessitate a thorough assessment of fundamental securities processing protocols and industry benchmarks.

+ Propose sophisticated solutions for designated securities processing sectors.

+ Mentor and support junior personnel.

+ Act as a procedural or analytical authority for securities processing deliverables and initiatives.

+ Oversee daily performance related to post-settlement activities within operations processes for securities.

+ Collaborate with both internal and external clients to evaluate service quality and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

+ Contribute to the formulation of innovative techniques and the optimization of securities processing tasks.

+ Manage daily regulatory reporting (TRACE/MSRB) exceptions.

+ Conduct daily reconciliation and remediation for all trading activities executed by the Trading desk.

+ Investigate and resolve all exceptions noted on our Controls Dashboard, providing insights for senior governance discussions.

+ Appropriately evaluate risk when making business decisions, with a strong emphasis on the firm's reputation and the protection of Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, exercising sound ethical judgment in personal conduct and business practices, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.

Qualifications:

+ 5-8 years of pertinent experience.

+ Familiarity with NetX 360 is preferred.

+ Demonstrates clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
