About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a key member of our Regional Care Center team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, including interpreting physicians' orders and expediting clinic flow to minimize waiting times.
  • Collaborate with clinic management to maintain physician templates and ensure quality patient care.
  • Communicate appointment information to patients in a timely and clear manner, providing necessary instructions for ancillary appointments.
  • Manage and facilitate the patient scheduling process to optimize efficiency and resources.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to multiple telephone calls and taking accurate messages.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Update and revise demographic, financial, and insurance information as necessary.
  • Collect co-payments as appropriate and ensure the medical record is available for patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment skills test.
