Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out functions, including registration and scheduling
  • Obtain and input accurate scheduling and registration data to initiate financial clearance activities
  • Coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patients
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to requests and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Generate reports and assist with department correspondence
  • Ensure patient information is conveyed to others appropriately, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • One year of healthcare or related experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing applications and electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
