Patient Services Coordinator

G&A Partners, a leading provider of HR solutions and technology, is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join its team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and employees, ensuring a positive experience in our clinic.
- Prepare and assemble patient charts, including face sheets, charge tickets, and physician-specific forms.
- Register patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and obtain patient signatures.
- Enter data into electronic health records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review schedules for next-day appointments, obtain necessary information, and authorize referrals as required.
- Schedule new and recheck appointments, maintain patient flow, and oversee the waiting area.
- Answer phone calls, screen messages, and provide information in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Collect payments, post charges, and balance cash drawers.
- Take initiative and anticipate the needs of colleagues, demonstrating a proactive approach to teamwork.
- Adhere to Bloodborne Pathogen Standards, HIPAA rules, and OSHA guidelines, ensuring a safe and confidential work environment.
- High school graduation or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of medical office experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and computer programs.
- Skills in written and verbal communication, data entry, and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, interpret insurance benefits, and respond to changing demands.
