We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controls Engineer Intern to join our team at Autokiniton. Responsibilities
  • Work with our electrical equipment build team to gain hands-on experience in the construction of electrical control system hardware, including main control panels, HMI panels, and motor control panels.
  • Validate electrical documentation, ensuring schematics accuracy and implementing corrections as necessary.
  • Design and develop electrical control systems, including creation of electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
  • Program PLC and HMI programs for new equipment installations or modifications to existing equipment.
  • Support production operations by assisting engineering or maintenance personnel in equipment failure troubleshooting, repair, or replacement.
  • Gain a basic understanding of motor control configuration for servo, variable frequency, and DC systems.
  • Develop skills in robot programming and maintenance, including teach pendant operations, path programming, and configuration.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and programming languages such as PLC and HMI.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
