Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and maintaining machinery and automation systems for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical drawings, ladder logic, and HMI programs for machinery and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with AAM's equipment specifications.
  • Work with the equipment design team to provide recommendations on equipment design and integration.
  • Develop and implement advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Lead multiple projects with minimal guidance and work effectively with contractors and plant maintenance teams.
  • Support the training and development of entry-level controls engineers and students.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience in controls engineering with a strong background in Allen Bradley PLC, ControlLogix, Servo Controllers, and HMI products.
