About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; or Grand Rapids, MI. As a key member of our Buildings + Places practice, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in electrical systems design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, microgrids, and lighting systems
  • Perform construction administration services, including review of shop drawings and contractor-proposed change orders
  • Evaluate feasibility of alternative design approaches and collaborate with senior team members
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and equipment condition evaluations
  • Organize and plan projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met within budget
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presenting to clients
  • Support the Electrical Department Manager with workload planning and mentoring junior staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 4 years of related experience and/or education
  • EIT certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preferred qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE), proficiency in SKM and electrical analysis software, 6+ years of electrical systems design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and people management experience
