Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Autokiniton, a leading automotive company based in Michigan. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for new and existing equipment, including PLC and HMI programming.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for control systems, including electrical schematics and programming code.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control systems technology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming languages, including ladder logic and structured text.
  • Experience with electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
