Job Summary:

The Member Representative I plays a crucial role in delivering a wide range of teller and member service functions. This position is integral in assisting members with account management, digital services, and providing tailored financial solutions through the credit union's offerings.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and promotes suitable deposit, loan, and digital services by understanding members' financial requirements.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of products and services, demonstrating problem-solving capabilities to address members' financial and digital inquiries.
  • Handles account modifications and maintenance.
  • Conducts teller transactions efficiently.
  • Manages the opening, closing, and maintenance of IRA/HSA accounts.
  • Consistently meets individual and organizational objectives while adhering to established service standards.
  • Ensures member inquiries are resolved courteously and promptly, with follow-up as necessary.
  • Upholds and enhances the professional image of the Credit Union while safeguarding member confidentiality.
  • Stays informed on credit union regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicates significant activities and challenges to the supervisor.
  • Accurately and promptly completes required reports and documentation.
  • Actively promotes Credit Union services in a professional manner.
  • Performs related clerical tasks with precision.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with the Clean Desk Policy.
  • Participates in meetings and training sessions as required.
Performance Measurements:
  • Member service functions are executed efficiently and accurately in line with established policies and security protocols.
  • Fosters positive business relationships with members, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members and management, providing necessary support as needed.
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness in required reporting and documentation.
  • Works collaboratively to achieve production targets.
  • Maintains and promotes the Credit Union's professional reputation.
  • Ensures member inquiries are resolved with courtesy and efficiency.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of member services and products.
  • Basic understanding of credit union principles and operations.
  • Exceptional communication and member service skills.
  • Proficient in relevant computer software.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid mathematical and bookkeeping skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a full-service financial institution.
Physical Requirements:
  • Finger Dexterity: Ability to perform small movements such as typing and handling small objects.
  • Talking: Frequent communication of detailed instructions or ideas.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear and understand normal conversations.
  • Repetitive Motion: Regular use of wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Vision: Adequate visual acuity for document preparation and inspection.
  • Physical: Primarily sedentary work; occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs.
