Position Summary:
As a Technical Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the technical support operations, ensuring that technical issues are addressed effectively, and overseeing product development and quality assurance. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning annual new product initiatives and managing technical resource allocation to maintain product line integrity across regions.
- Overseeing the development timeline of new products, ensuring timely delivery and conversion rates meet established targets.
- Conducting market analysis, benchmarking products, identifying issues, and enhancing product structures to boost sales.
- Managing after-sales complaints, ensuring quality control, and providing risk assessments to relevant departments.
- Coordinating spare parts management and supporting the business in expanding the spare parts market.
- Ensuring prototype quality control, improving sample qualification rates, and enhancing prototype conversion rates.
- Planning and coordinating IT projects within the Technical Support Department.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in technical support, product development, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a technical support team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of product development processes and quality control practices within the HVAC sector.
- Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the US for client meetings and industry events, with potential travel up to 70%.
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other sales-related tools.
