This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Role Responsibilities

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in setting technical benchmarks for workstations, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and guaranteeing peak system performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Analysis and Implementation: Evaluate, transition, and deploy computer applications, systems, and network setups. Design, document, and script intricate new software rollouts.
  • Technical Standards and Improvement: Work alongside the team to define technical benchmarks for workstations and identify enhancement opportunities.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Oversee system performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • JAMF Pro Administration: Administer, configure, and manage JAMF Pro, JAMF Protect, and JAMF Connect. Implement CIS Benchmarks and execute Apple Script and bash/shell scripting.
  • FileVault2 Management: Oversee FileVault2 enterprise configurations.
  • Technical Issue Escalation: Direct and escalate technical issues to the relevant support teams. Collaborate with technicians on root cause analysis and communicate effectively regarding end-user support matters.
  • Project Support: Engage in and provide assistance with IT and business initiatives.
  • System Oversight: Maintain comprehensive oversight of all systems managed by the Desktop Support Engineering team.
  • User Consultation: Conduct system analysis for reported issues, including consultations with users. Serve as the escalation point for technical issues within the team.
  • Testing Management: Oversee testing activities for workstations, laptops, VMs, and other dependent systems across the organization for patching and vulnerability assessments.
  • Service Desk Monitoring: Supervise the desktop services engineering queue through the service desk system to ensure 100% satisfaction and address incidents and requests to meet service level agreements.
  • Configuration Management: Manage configuration site collection maintenance and Windows Configuration power management rules.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for Mac OS.
  • Expertise in JAMF Pro, JAMF Connect, and JAMF Protect.
  • Familiarity with SCCM and/or Tanium is advantageous.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows Desktop OS is a plus.

  • Knowledge in SCCM and/or Tanium is a plus.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows Desktop OS is a plus.
