About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Civil Engineer to join our team at The LiRo Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to roadway and grading design, site plan layout, zoning analysis, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, and site ADA compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform civil engineering analysis and design tasks for infrastructure projects
  • Support coordination and presentation of submissions with local authorities and stakeholders
  • Conduct site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
  • Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
  • Support the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications, and coordination with other design disciplines
  • Perform construction inspections and provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
  • Utilize technical and project management skills on projects ranging from small site restorations to large-scale new construction
  • Attend industry functions and conferences
  • Support the development of technical standards and mentor junior engineering staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering
  • NY PE required
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
  • Understanding and application of code requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required
