Position Overview:
The Child Welfare Visitation Coordinator is responsible for delivering essential support services to families involved in Child Welfare cases, operating under the guidance of the Supervisor.

This role includes transporting children and their biological parents to necessary appointments and supervised visits. Additionally, the Coordinator documents visit notes and addresses other needs pertinent to the Child Welfare Department.

Following an initial training period, this position offers a flexible work schedule that includes both office and fieldwork.

Compensation:
$20.40 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Maintains confidentiality for all clients served.

Collaborates with Family Connections Specialists and supervisors to arrange visit schedules.

Transports children and families involved in the Child Welfare Program.

Completes and maintains transportation logs.

Coordinates and oversees visits between biological parents and children within the Child Welfare Program.


Participates in case review meetings, Family Team Meetings (FTM), and case conferences to enhance service coordination for foster children as required.

Delivers client case documentation to court.

Adheres to all guidelines outlined in CCWM's transportation policy and safe driving practices.

Ensures the safety of children through proper use of car seats and seat belts.

Regularly cleans agency vehicles and car seats.

Maintains cleanliness of visit areas on a daily basis.

Coordinates routine maintenance for agency vehicles.

Provides supervision and written documentation of parenting time visits.

Files necessary paperwork and conducts concurrent audits of client case records.

Keeps records of daily tasks for monthly reporting.

Attends program meetings as required.

Drives for agency-related activities.

Completes other special assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Willingness and ability to transport clients across a wide geographic area.

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours.

Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Effective time management and multitasking abilities.

Ability to engage with diverse populations and cultures, communicating effectively with clients both verbally and in writing.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficient in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to document client interactions and parenting skills accurately.

Strong conflict resolution skills.

Proficient knowledge of computers, smartphones, GPS, and online scheduling tools.

Ability to identify and prioritize the safety needs of children on a daily basis.

Recommended Qualifications:

Education:


A High School diploma, GED, or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related Human Services field is preferred.


Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience working with children and families is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
No specific certifications required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not entail supervisory duties.
