About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ground Infrastructure Team at Lockheed Martin as a Project Engineer Sr. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the NextGen OPIR Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary support to the Product Owner and Engineering Manager, working under very general supervision in support of larger team goals.
  • Support schedules/timelines for product team execution.
  • Coordinate inter-team dependencies and drive transparency across product teams, anticipating obstacles to performance.
  • Support and participate in working groups and technical exchange meetings.
  • Support staff meetings, documentation, data collection or inputs for presentations, produce/update presentations, track/provide/maintain metrics, work special assignments or ad hoc tasks, and other duties as assigned.
  • Apply critical thinking and initiative to help address tasks and requirements for the entire program in support of program goals.
  • Relentlessly seek automation opportunities in support of process improvement and embedded quality.
Requirements
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management.
  • Practical knowledge of project management tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated teamwork.
  • Must have a TS/SCI Security Clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills
  • Flexibility and determination to learn new skills.
  • Process improvement or quality control experience.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Project, Jira, or Confluence.
  • Accountable and responsible, able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of earned value management.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining schedules for projects or activities.
  • Positive/self-starting attitude that is not slowed by perceived roadblocks.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
