Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. This role involves collaboration on two federally funded initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional growth of special education teachers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational research focused on the development of special education teachers.
  • Co-author scholarly articles for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Engage in qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Support interactions with study participants.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual progress reports for federal funding agencies.
  • Facilitate data organization and cleaning in preparation for analysis.
  • Lead qualitative data analysis efforts.
  • Participate in annual reviews and strategic planning with the supervising faculty member to foster career development in education and research.
  • Instruct graduate-level courses in teacher education.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:
We prefer candidates with a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in areas such as Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Human Development, or related social sciences. Experience in research related to special education is advantageous, as is a solid understanding of the context surrounding special education practices.
