Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of public health, with a focus on health equity and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct community needs assessments and develop strategies to address health disparities.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement projects focused on health equity and community engagement.
  • Develop and implement research protocols for community-engaged research.
  • Lead and co-author papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Communicate research findings to stakeholders and the broader community.
  • Contribute to the submission of federal and private grant proposals.
  • Provide mentorship and training to early-career scholars on the research team.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a research-oriented field, such as Health Disparities/Equity, Public Health, Research/Statistics/Evaluation, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting community-based participatory research and working with large datasets.
  • Knowledge of public health, health equity, and community-based participatory research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
  • Knowledge of research-practice partnerships and community-based research methods.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical software.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
