Position Overview - Customer Service Representative:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support to clients and internal departments regarding water utility services.
- Manage incoming calls and provide assistance at the service counter by addressing inquiries, offering information, investigating billing issues, processing payments, and entering necessary data into electronic systems.
- Facilitate service terminations by establishing new accounts and service orders, updating customer records, arranging payment plans, and handling termination requests and disconnection processes.
- Accurately process information and payments by entering data into the system, posting transactions, and verifying received funds.
- Expected to maintain consistent performance in a call center environment, adhering to strict schedules while allowing flexibility to accommodate business needs (including nights, weekends, and holidays). Daily responsibilities are repetitive and require extended periods of sitting in a cubicle.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions or transactions, documenting inquiries, complaints, or comments, along with actions taken.
- Assess charges for requested services, collect deposits or payments, or coordinate billing arrangements.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with basic operational, technical, or office processes.
- A level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or its equivalent.
