Position Overview: The CNC Laser Cutting Technician is responsible for manufacturing parts through the operation of computer numerical control laser cutting machinery. This role is designated for the second shift, operating from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. A 20% shift differential is provided for night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load components and operate laser cutting machines (Trumpf 5 Axis and/or Mitsubishi 5 Axis)
  • Ensure the uninterrupted production of parts that align with customer specifications
  • Make minor adjustments to laser programming as necessary
  • Set up tooling according to established work instructions
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and comparators
  • Uphold quality standards by adhering to the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and document operational performance issues, providing feedback to the supervisor
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other team members
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education in CNC preferred
  • Proficient understanding of laser machinery, tooling, and operational processes
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capability to manage complex tasks
  • Able to thrive in a customer-oriented, deadline-driven setting while maintaining a positive demeanor
